Diwali is the festival of lights which is celebrated in various regions across India. The name ‘Deepavali’ literally means an ‘array of lights’. To make the students understand the importance of Diwali, Dipawali celebration in school on 2 Nov in Gov. primary school. Teachers explained the importance of Diwali, the festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. Children decorated diyas with colors and glitter.Both Teachers and students enjoyed the Diwali celebrations wholeheartedly.

To make the children understand that vegetables are an essential component of a healthy diet for physical growth and sound health, a mock vegetable market was set up in the classroom.  Children also acted on skits playing the role of a vegetable vendor. Fruit and vegetable crafts, rhymes, activities, games, and other resources presented an exciting way for our children to learn about these healthy foods. Children got to know and explore different kinds of fruits and vegetables in this activity. The students learnt about Indian mythology and importance of the festival. The festive events organised at the school campus included narration of mythological tales to the children, enactment and depiction of Ramayana by students and the symbolic burning of effigy of Ravana showing the triumph of good over evil.
